Grip Test
The key takeaways from this was that:
The pieces where a little to big / hard to grab when they are close together
Some pieces where to small and delicate to feasibly cut out of wood

Finished Test Pieces
Things to add:
. on early sketches write callouts for how it relates to the theme
. middle sketches point out flaws:
knight looks like a snake
rook looks like a fork
needs further refinement
. on final point out that it :
looks as though the pieces were stacked together
common piece shifts around like how there is an infinite amount of possiblites for how you can assemble the “wooden blocks”
gives off the feeling of a structure created with wooden blocks while also feeling mature and complex as the “blocks” create more intricate structures than possible with normal wooden blocks
. molding common piece
. show model in CAD —> 3D printing —> final
. grip test
. final render in CAD
. for final photos get chess pieces on an actually chess board for hero shot
Other:
. edit solo photos for each piece in final photos
. change banner to be less revealing
. TAKE LANDSCAPE PHOTOS
